I am a painter and cartoonist who,  like 72% of the world's population, enjoys playing the ukulele.  And I sing.  I am starting to busk and this blog is about that.

The painter Jean-Dominique Ingres was a serious and seriously good violinist.  The epithet Le Violon d'Ingres  means a second skill beyond the one for which someone is known: a high-falutin' hobby.

Ingres apparently like Mozart and Beethoven.  So do I but my repertoire is mostly Tin Pan Alley.
